Omer Keinan (Israel, 1997) is active as a performance artist and scholar. He received a diploma in choreography from the International Choreographic Exchange postgraduate program at SEAD Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (AU, 2019), and graduated from Maslool Professional Dance Program (IL, 2017).

 

As a performance artist, he created, amongst others, The New Fire Ceremony (2019), supported by SEAD, which was adapted to an interactive, online format for Viral Festival (2020, IL); Dagon (2019), which performed at BodySoundSpace Vol. 7 (AU); Quad (2017), which performed at Fresco House of Dance and Culture (IL); and Not I (2017), which performed in Intimadance Festival 2017 at Tmu-na Theater (IL).

 

He received residencies at Tanztendenz (DE), Sadnaot Habama (IL), and P.A.R.T.S. (BE). Currently, he is working on a new creation commissioned by Tmu-na Theater (IL).

 

Omer is a core member and founding member (2020-present) of nein9.

 

i am obsessed with knowledge. how do we conduct and frame research in an on embodiment through improvisation-based, performance practice? how do we proliferate our individual research through encounters with other bodies and disciplines?
